 The Golden Hammer is a tribute awarded to members who have made a special contribution to MDHBA. The Golden Hammer winners are not necessarily members of the organization, but they have donated their time and energy to the organization and deserved acknowledgment for their efforts. Thanks to all the Golden Hammer winners through the years for your generosity and service. The first Golden Hammer was awarded in 1989. | A special mention goes to Tom Swartz, for starting the Golden Hammer awards to honor people in the organization, as well as to families who continue to be a part of the organization from generation to generation.
